Hold on tight! To celebrate its 85th anniversary, Cineflagey delves into the electrifying world of a cinema genius: Brian De Palma. A master of suspense, horror and psychological thrillers, whose work has left its mark on generations of film lovers.

(Re)discover a selection of his cult films, combining unbearable tension and captivating aesthetics: Scarface (1983), Blow Out (1981), Casualties of War (1989) and Phantom of the Paradise (1974). And that's not all: from January, two more masterpieces will give you the chills, with Dressed to Kill (1980) and The Untouchables (1987).

From January 27 to March 7, De Cinema invites you to rediscover the greatest films of this American outsider, who refuses to let the codes, fashions, or standards imposed by the Hollywood industry get in the way of his unparalleled rich and versatile work. The little-known Hard Eight, the incredible family saga Magnolia, the cult classic There Will Be Blood, and the incandescent 70s rom-com Licorice Pizza are all on the program for this comprehensive retrospective!

And that’s not all: PTA is inexhaustible when it comes to his cinematic masters, so it was unthinkable not to screen the films of the filmmakers who have guided him throughout his career.
