The movies of David Lynch

From Eraserhead (1977) to Inland Empire (2006) and the latest season Twin Peaks (2017): film after film, Lynch conjured our scariest fever dreams to life. And not only on screen, for in addition to being a filmmaker, he was also a musician, meditation guru and - perhaps primarily - a painter. A renaissance man, if you will. But whatever he made, those equally wondrous and terrifying images are always at the core. Not for nothing is Lynchian now a well-established vocabulary.
