To mark the release of Sentimental Value, Cineflagey invites you to (re)discover all of Joachim Trier's feature films. His “Oslo” trilogy (Reprise, Oslo, August 31st, and The Worst Person in the World) will allow you to discover not only the transformation of Oslo during the 15 years it took to make the trilogy, but also Trier's favorite actor, Anders Danielsen Lie. Since The Worst Person in the World, actress Renate Reinsve, the rising European star of the moment, has come to the fore. Reinsve made her film debut in Oslo, August 31st in a supporting role.
Louder Than Bombs is Trier's only English-language film, with an impressive international cast, while Thelma is a foray into genre cinema, with elements reminiscent of De Palma's film adaptation of Stephen King's Carrie. All of these films were co-written by Trier with his long-time partner Eskil Vogt (himself the director of two highly promising films, Blind and The Innocents).
