I Am Martin Parr paints a vivid portrait of a photographer who transforms everyday life into sharp visual critique. With saturated imagery and ironic framing, the film explores his unique way of documenting British culture, balancing detachment with sly involvement. The result is a rhythmic, colourful meditation on the absurdity of the ordinary.

When Simeon, a Dominican care worker by training, brings his southern flair into a Ghent residential care center, he runs up against limits of the care system, but conquers the hearts of the residents.

In 1982, during the Israeli occupation of Beirut, the Palestinian Research Centre was looted and then bombed by the Tsahal. A whole section of Palestinian culture was seized by the enemy. In a counter-narrative gesture, Kamal Aljafari gives new life to these archives filmed from the 20s to the 80s through an impressive work of sound and editing, between duty to remember and misappropriation. Complemented by film and television archives, these images expose both the daily humiliations and despoilments suffered by the Palestinian people and the colonial reappropriation of these memories : certain completely banal scenes from everyday life are associated with terrorism by the Israeli authorities. Through this political and fascinating device, Kamal Aljafari gives us access to the history of his people.



A Fidai Film

Chihiro, a 10-year-old girl, is on her way to her new home with her parents. On the way, the family stops off at a theme park they find dilapidated. During the visit, the parents stop off in one of the buildings to sample some very appetizing food, which has appeared as if by magic. Unfortunately, the food turns them into pigs. Panic-stricken, Chihiro flees and finds herself alone in this phantasmagorical world, where she meets the enigmatic Haku, her only ally in this terrible ordeal... 

During her family's move to the suburbs, a sullen 10-year-old girl wanders into a world ruled by gods, witches and spirits, and where humans are changed into beasts.
