In a village in northern Spain, Jeanne is trying to build a new life with Daniel, who knows nothing of her turbulent past. But Mateo, Jeanne’s godson, suddenly and mysteriously disappears. Pursued by the police and viewed as a suspect, Jeanne flees to France, returning to the community where she was born—a place she had left years earlier. Daniel does not believe the woman he loves is guilty, and he will do whatever it takes to find her before the police do.
