Jean-Yves Machond, a world-renowned and generally unhappy painter, decides one day to change his life. He seeks inspiration in a small Normandy town, in order to create a masterpiece that will finally win him eternal fame and recognition. His encounter with the local artists, from the warm-hearted Bagnoule to the skilful Cécile, takes him off course, and brings him face to face with his deepest dream: simply to be a happy man.

Belgian artist and humorist Stefan Liberski brings together on screen two hilarious monsters of Belgian cinema: Benoît Poelvoorde and François Damiens.
