Salvatore "Sal" Fragione is the Italian owner of a pizzeria in Brooklyn. A neighborhood local, Buggin' Out, becomes upset when he sees that the pizzeria's Wall of Fame exhibits only Italian actors. Buggin' Out believes a pizzeria in a black neighborhood should showcase black actors, but Sal disagrees. The wall becomes a symbol of racism and hate to Buggin' Out and to other people in the neighborhood, and tensions rise.

Do the Right Thing

Willie, a casual New Yorker of Hungarian descent, receives an unexpected visit from his cousin Eva from Budapest. At first Willie wants nothing to do with her, but the two soon develop a special bond. Together with Willie's friend Eddie, they take a spontaneous road trip that takes them from New York to Cleveland and finally to Florida. Along the way, they experience absurd, melancholy and humorous moments that reflect their alienation and search for connection and meaning.

Stranger Than Paradise

A third instalment (after Opening Night and A Woman under the Influence) in the series of portraits of women in existential crisis - here in the face of an introverted brother. The character is played by John Cassavetes alongside his wife (whom he is directing for the seventh and final time), in a film directed with feverish mastery.
