In 1900, Lili d'Alengy, a famous Parisian courtesan, has a shameful secret - her daughter Tina, born with a handicap. Its powerful imagery, the intense use of color and the Mahler-inspired soundtrack were further enhanced by the Academy Award-winning costume design.
