Festivals are not only a meeting place for filmmakers and their audiences, but also a place where filmmakers themselves come together. Directors get to know each other's work, and thanks to the Peer Award, that work is also rewarded. The participating directors vote for each others' films. Both the nominated films for the Peer Award 2024 and those nominated in the current edition can be found at the festival. You can admire this year’s nominations at a one-off screening on the final day of the festival. The 2025 winner will be revealed during the closing night on 6 December.

Taken over by the Grignoux and completely renovated in 2016, the Caméo has 5 screens and a brasserie, the Caféo. The Churchill cinema is located in the centre of Liege, in a pedestrian area just a stone's throw from the Place Cathédrale. With its splendid Art Deco façade, it gives pride of place to auteur and independent cinema as well as to more "mainstream" productions. Two art galleries welcome painters and photographers.

Churchill

Cinema Churchill is located in the centre of Liege. It shows independent cinema, classics and documentaries.

Ciné4 opened in 2020 right in the centre of Nivelles, close to the Grand Place. On its two screens you can discover both the best auteur cinema and a selection of movies for the whole family. On top of that you get a very warm welcome and the best possible screening conditions.

Situated in the bustling heart of Brussels, at the Antoine Dansaertstraat near the Oude Graanmarkt, Cinema RITCS is the home theatre of the RITCS | Royal Institute for Theatre, Cinema & Sound. It is the ultimate meeting place for film aficionados. Equipped with state-of-the-art digital film projectors and a magical silver screen seven metres in width, Cinema RITCS offers 123 seats (+2 wheelchair accessible ones) to experience a fascinating world of moving images. Cinema ZED Hasselt is a distinctive arthouse cinema located by the water, housed in a former malt factory. It offers a carefully curated selection of independent films, documentaries, classics, and surprising international gems.

Here, cinema is experienced as it was meant to be: on the big screen, in a calm setting, without advertising and without popcorn. Pure cinema, with room for depth, festivals, and special screenings.

Taken over by the Grignoux in 1982, the cinema le Parc is located on the edge of Liège, near Bressoux. It has a magnificent auditorium with over 400 seats. Its large stage and high quality sound system also make it a choice venue for concerts. The café le Parc located in the same street allows you to have a drink before or after your session.

Studio Scoop is the oldest arthouse cinema in Flanders and has been a firm favourite with film lovers for 50 years. Founded by Ben ter Elst, who also founded Film Fest Gent, this iconic venue features five cosy screens, a 35 mm projection and a thriving cinema café.
