In order to pay off her debts, Ariane lands a job as a French-Spanish translator in a food factory that hires mainly Guatemalan workers. The young boss, Stéphane, is a friend of her former lover and runs the place, which is run by foreign bodies motivated by profit. In the course of her employment, Ariane discovers the precarious conditions of these temporary workers and the chronic injustices that punctuate their daily lives. However, she is reluctant to come to their aid and defend their interests, convinced that this might affect her professional future in the factory.
