Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo, September 2022. Bravó, 16, is exfiltrated from an armed group by the CTO (Centre de Transit et d'Orientation) team in order to be reintegrated into society. But the young man, who has known nothing but war and fighting, won't submit to the center's rules. A lieutenant in the forest, Bravo refuses to be treated like any other child, and doesn't want the new place he's been offered. Yet secretly he dreams of just one thing: to be reunited with his family... Initiated during an 8-month film workshop at the CTO, Katika bluu was written, directed and performed entirely by the former child soldiers themselves, in a true collaborative effort with the directors. This film is theirs: a powerful film at the level of children, in total immersion.
