In a counter-narrative gesture, Kamal Aljafari gives new life to these archives filmed from the 20s to the 80s through an impressive work of sound and editing, between duty to remember and misappropriation. Complemented by film and television archives, these images expose both the daily humiliations and despoilments suffered by the Palestinian people and the colonial reappropriation of these memories : certain completely banal scenes from everyday life are associated with terrorism by the Israeli authorities. Through this political and fascinating device, Kamal Aljafari gives us access to the history of his people.
