Malik and his father Mehdi live in a funfair where they work as handymen. Mehdi gives his son five special paintings. Curious, Malik is dazzled by the beauty of these works. The next day, the two accidentally find themselves in the middle of a political rally. Mehdi is brutalized in front of Malik by two cops who accuse him of propaganda against the government. Later that night, the police burst into the carnival and arrest Mehdi. Shocked, Malik starts looking for his father with the help of the other fairgoers, finding answers in the paintings his father has left behind.
