When two boys are kidnapped in a border town in Nepal, Inspector Pooja, who insists on being called Sir, is assigned the case. Teaming up with a local policewoman, they are both quickly confronted with local corruption and systemic misogyny. It all happens just as a resistance movement led by an ethnic minority group opposed to the central government is growing, the plot intertwining the two themes of sexism and racial discrimination.
