Screening of the short film En attendant Maeva, made as part of the residency, accompanied by a related programme designed by Belgian-Rwandan artist Victoire Karera Kampire. Discussion about the films.

Every year, the ‘Résidence point de vue - point d'écoute’ invites an image artist (filming on film) and a sound artist to collaborate on a film on a given theme. For this 4th edition, the starting point for the joint work was the traces of Belgian colonisation in the Matongé district of Brussels.

He manages to earn some money as a meal delivery man, but is “sans papiers” and, for the time being, is staying illegally in France. As he rushes through the busy streets of Paris on his bicycle, Souleymane prepares for the important interview he must have with the immigration authorities. He has rehearsed a good story for this decisive moment. Only it is not his own story....

Souleymane fled Guinea and tries to survive in Paris as a food deliverer. At the same time, he does everything he can to obtain legal status.

Taken over by the Grignoux in 1982, the cinema le Parc is located on the edge of Liège, near Bressoux. It has a magnificent auditorium with over 400 seats. Its large stage and high quality sound system also make it a choice venue for concerts. The café le Parc located in the same street allows you to have a drink before or after your session.

The Churchill cinema is located in the centre of Liege, in a pedestrian area just a stone's throw from the Place Cathédrale. With its splendid Art Deco façade, it gives pride of place to auteur and independent cinema as well as to more "mainstream" productions. Two art galleries welcome painters and photographers.

Cinema Churchill is located in the centre of Liege. It shows independent cinema, classics and documentaries.

Probably the best known and most popular cinema in Liège, this complex has 4 cinemas for a total of 800 spectators and a brasserie, which serves as a place to relax, a small restaurant and also a concert hall. Located in the city centre, it is easily accessible by bus or bicycle. Three partner car parks offer a discount if you park your car there.

Sauvenière

Probably the best known cinema in Liège, this complex also offers a place to eat and relax. Located in the city centre.

Taken over by the Grignoux and completely renovated in 2016, the Caméo has 5 screens and a brasserie, the Caféo. Like the other Grignoux cinemas, it showcases the best recent films for young and old alike, and offers numerous event evenings (previews with directors and film crews, special evenings, conferences-debates with the associative world, etc.).

In 2021, the doors of the new Mechelen city cinema swung open. In the beautifully renovated Oude Stadsfeestzaal, film lovers can enjoy cinema in a historic setting.
