From 11 to 29 March, it's time for the 19th edition of Offscreen, the Brussels festival for cult and genre cinema.

Think of the golden years of Spanish genre films, American political paranoia from the 1970s and a tribute to action director John Woo. In addition, there will be numerous special screenings and events for lovers of idiosyncratic cinema.

The Blood Spattered Bride

A program of 5 short films: Le tunnel de la nuit, Le monstre marin, Le génie dans la bouteille, Suivez mon regard, La carpe et l'enfant. Whether children are at the water's edge, on the beach, the ice floe or the banks of a pond, they want to play. To do so, they need partners, accomplices, young or old, with whom they can share their fantasies and role-play, seriously or lightly. Cross the Earth through mysterious tunnels? Rescue a sea monster from the waves? Stand up to a powerful, evil genie? Teasing a carp until it gets the upper hand? Nothing is impossible for playful children.

In 1995, Belgium is rocked by the disturbing disappearance of two young girls, causing public uproar and media hype. Young idealistic gendarme Paul Chartier joins the secret operation "Maldoror" to keep an eye on a repeat suspect. In the mid-1990s, the Belgian gendarmerie secretly runs a three-man operation to track down two missing girls. A sinister film around the infamous Dutroux case.

Taken over by the Grignoux in 1982, the cinema le Parc is located on the edge of Liège, near Bressoux. It has a magnificent auditorium with over 400 seats. Its large stage and high quality sound system also make it a choice venue for concerts. The café le Parc located in the same street allows you to have a drink before or after your session.

The Churchill cinema is located in the centre of Liege, in a pedestrian area just a stone's throw from the Place Cathédrale. With its splendid Art Deco façade, it gives pride of place to auteur and independent cinema as well as to more "mainstream" productions. Two art galleries welcome painters and photographers.

Cinema Churchill is located in the centre of Liege. It shows independent cinema, classics and documentaries.

Probably the best known and most popular cinema in Liège, this complex has 4 cinemas for a total of 800 spectators and a brasserie, which serves as a place to relax, a small restaurant and also a concert hall. Located in the city centre, it is easily accessible by bus or bicycle. Three partner car parks offer a discount if you park your car there.

Probably the best known cinema in Liège, this complex also offers a place to eat and relax. Located in the city centre.

Taken over by the Grignoux and completely renovated in 2016, the Caméo has 5 screens and a brasserie, the Caféo. In 2021, the doors of the new Mechelen city cinema swung open. In the beautifully renovated Oude Stadsfeestzaal, film lovers can enjoy cinema in a historic setting.
