- Berlin lies in ruins after heavy bombing. Young Rosa flees in search of safety and ends up in a remote village near the Wolf's Lair, Hitler's heavily guarded headquarters. There, she and other young women are recruited to taste Hitler's food for fear of poisoning. Between fear and hunger, close bonds are formed.
