The Tibetan plateau is a scenically beautiful but inhospitable area that, at 4,500 meters above sea level, is literally breathtaking. Some nomadic tribes live there in harmony with rare species such as the manoel and the wild yak. Writer Sylvain Tesson and nature photographer Vincent Munier travel together to this desolate and icy but oh so beautiful landscape in search of the extremely timid and endangered snow leopard.
